Islam Chic began in Huy, Belgium, from one simple conviction: choosing to cover up should cost a woman nothing. Not a beautiful fabric, not a well-cut silhouette, not the pleasure of dressing well.
A Belgian label, founded in Huy
Islam Chic was founded by Mouhcine Khadiri. It grew out of something he kept hearing around him: finding a hijab that genuinely hangs well, in a comfortable fabric and a colour that looks right, came down far too often to luck. Too many scarves slipped, felt hot, or lost their colour in the first wash.
Islam Chic is our answer. A deliberately small range, chosen piece by piece and shipped from Belgium across Europe.
The ombre-effect hijab, our signature
This is the piece people know us for. A rayon (viscose) hijab worked as a gradient: light at one end, deepening steadily towards a rich shade at the other. Worn, that gradient follows the folds of the drape and brings depth to the face, without a single printed pattern.
The rayon does the rest. It is a breathable fabric that stays comfortable in every season, with a fluid drape that holds its place. It does not slip, and it does not need adjusting every ten minutes. You feel the difference within the first hour.
Uncompromising about fabric
We would rather offer a short, dependable range than an endless catalogue. Every fabric is judged on its handle, its structure and how it behaves in the wash: chiffon, jersey, silk, rayon. Our hijabs, caps and under-hijabs, abayas, kimonos, maxi dresses, tunics and skirts all follow the same simple rule. If we would not wear it ourselves, it does not join the collection.
Respect for the woman wearing it
We are not selling a definition of modesty; we make clothes. What you wear, and how you wear it, is entirely yours to decide. Our work stops at the quality of the piece, the accuracy of the colours and the clarity of what we tell you.
