Orders
How do I place an order on islamchic.com?
Choose your item, select the colour and add it to your basket. From the basket you move on to checkout: enter your delivery address, choose a shipping option and confirm your payment. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail summarising your order.
Can I change or cancel my order?
As long as your parcel has not left us, we will do our best to help: e-mail us as soon as possible at info@islamchic.com, quoting your order number and the change you would like. Once the parcel has been dispatched, the order can no longer be amended. You still keep your 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive it.
Which payment methods do you accept?
The payment methods available are shown during checkout, just before you confirm. All our prices are in euros and include VAT. The full total, delivery charges included, is displayed before you confirm your payment.
Will I receive an invoice?
You always receive a confirmation e-mail listing the items ordered and the amount paid. If you need a formal invoice, with a company VAT number for instance, e-mail us at info@islamchic.com quoting your order number and we will draw one up for you.
Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free on orders of €50 and over. Below that, the charge depends on your country and on the shipping option you choose; it is shown clearly in your basket before you confirm payment. Our parcels are sent from Belgium.
Which countries do you deliver to?
We deliver to Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the rest of the European Union. The destinations we serve and their charges appear at checkout, once you have entered your address. Islam Chic sells online only: there is no physical shop and no collection point.
How do I track my parcel, and what if it does not arrive?
As soon as your order leaves us, you receive a dispatch e-mail. Where the shipping option you chose includes tracking, the tracking number is in that e-mail. If your parcel is taking unusually long or appears to be lost, e-mail us at info@islamchic.com with your order number and we will open an enquiry with the carrier. Until the parcel is handed to you, it travels at our risk.
Returns and refunds
How long do I have to change my mind?
You have 14 calendar days from receiving your order to tell us that you are withdrawing, without giving a reason. Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to send the items back. If your order arrives in several parcels, the period starts when you receive the last item.
How do I return an item?
Write to us first at info@islamchic.com with your order number and the items concerned. We will confirm your request and send you the return address along with the steps to follow, so please wait for that confirmation before posting your parcel. Items must come back unworn and unwashed, with the original tags still attached. Return postage is at your expense, unless the item is faulty or does not match your order.
When will I be refunded?
We refund you no later than 14 days after being informed of your withdrawal. The law allows us to wait until we have received the items back, or until you can show that you have sent them. Refunds go to the payment method used for your order and cost you nothing; how quickly the money appears then depends on your bank.
Do you offer exchanges?
We do not run an automatic exchange scheme. The quickest route is to order the new size or colour straight away and send the original item back under the withdrawal procedure. That way you know the piece you want is still in stock. If you are unsure, e-mail us before ordering and we will gladly advise you.

What is rayon (viscose)?
Rayon, also known as viscose, is a fibre made from plant cellulose. It is soft, breathable and comfortable in every season, with a fluid drape that shows the folds beautifully. Unlike silk or satin, rayon has a slight grip: the hijab stays where you put it and does not need adjusting every ten minutes.
What is an ombre-effect hijab, and how do I choose my colour?
The ombre effect is a colour gradient worked into the fabric itself: light at one end, deepening steadily to a rich shade at the other — never a printed pattern. Worn, that gradient follows the folds of the drape and brings depth to the face: it is the Islam Chic signature. You therefore get two shades in a single piece, which makes matching easy; neutral tones go with almost everything, while one stronger shade is enough to lift a plain outfit. As colours can look slightly different from one screen to another, do e-mail us if you are hesitating and we will describe the true shade precisely.
What size is an Islam Chic hijab?
Our hijabs measure roughly 180 x 70 cm, generous enough for a soft drape and for covering the shoulders. Exact measurements are given on each product page, as they vary slightly with the fabric. A difference of one to two centimetres is normal in textiles.
How should I wash and care for my hijab?
We recommend hand washing in cold or lukewarm water with a mild soap. Do not wring the fabric: press the water out gently, then dry it flat, away from direct sunlight. Avoid the tumble dryer and bleach; if pressing is needed, keep the iron on a low setting. Always follow the care label sewn into the item.
